Journey of the

Wounded Heart

A gentle, faith-informed space to explore healing language.

The Story Behind the Journey

I’m Jeff Leva. The Journey of the Wounded Heart is a project I’m building from the inside of my own healing journey—faith-informed, trauma-aware, and grounded in the belief that wholeness and healing must encompass spirit, soul, and body together.

“I’m not creating from arrival. I’m creating from the road.”

This project was not born from mastery or completion. It emerged from walking—through trauma, healing, faith in Jesus, and the slow work of integration. I needed language and space for what healing actually feels like from the inside, not just what it looks like from the outside.

This isn’t theoretical for me—it’s the ground I walk on.

My own path has included trauma, anxiety, OCD, and the ongoing work of understanding how the body, soul, and spirit carry pain—and healing— together.

Through therapy and EMDR, I’ve learned something essential: healing is rarely linear. Progress often looks like slowing down. Rest and recovery are not failure—they are integration.

Faith has not erased the wounds, but it has taught me how to walk with them honestly—and how to remain rooted in who I truly am. I don’t stand above these ideas as someone who has “figured it out.” I stand within them—learning, integrating, and discovering as I go.

“I’m not standing above this work — I’m inside it.”

I’m building The Journey of the Wounded Heart as a companion for that kind of walking—the kind that’s real, imperfect, and still sacred.

This journey is for those who are still walking—for those who:

  • Are beginning to recognize the deep wounds they carry
  • Sense that their wounds deserve attention, not avoidance
  • Long for integration instead of bypassing
  • Believe God works within brokenness, not only beyond it

If you recognize yourself in these words, you’re not alone. This project is an invitation to walk together.
